The Department of Thoracic Surgery at Peking University Shenzhen Hospital is a key discipline within the hospital. Currently, the department has 72 open beds and a team of 17 physicians and 27 nursing staff, including 5 chief physicians, 5 deputy chief physicians, 3 attending physicians, and 4 resident physicians. Among them, there are 6 doctors with doctoral degrees, 6 master's degrees, and 5 students. One doctoral supervisor and two master's supervisors. Equipped with high-precision thoracic surgery equipment such as Da Vinci robots and 3D thoracoscopes.
The department mainly carries out business covering various thoracic surgical diseases such as lung, esophagus, mediastinum, chest wall, etc. Capable of performing all thoracic surgeries except for lung transplantation, including lobectomy, precision segmentectomy, sleeve resection, total pneumonectomy, tracheoplasty, esophageal cancer radical resection, various complex mediastinal tumor resection and artificial blood vessel replacement surgeries, as well as diagnosis and treatment of chest wall deformities, complex chest injuries, pulmonary bullae, hyperhidrosis and other thoracic surgical diseases.
The department currently specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary nodules and related technologies, comprehensive treatment of esophageal cancer, and minimally invasive surgeries such as single port thoracoscopy. Carry out 3D navigation thoracoscopy for precise segmental or sub segmental resection of pulmonary nodules, non-invasive localization, and rapid ERAS recovery. We have held multiple sessions of 3D navigation precision segmentectomy for pulmonary nodules, and based on rich clinical experience, published and distributed the "Practical 3D Navigation Early Lung Cancer segmentectomy Atlas". Carry out cutting-edge clinical topics such as postoperative adjuvant targeting, perioperative chemotherapy, and immunotherapy for non-small cell lung cancer. Carry out standardized comprehensive treatment such as neoadjuvant radiotherapy or neoadjuvant chemotherapy+ immunotherapy for esophageal cancer.
The nursing team has rich clinical nursing experience in perioperative nursing of thoracic surgery diseases, specialized nursing of critically ill patients, early assessment of perioperative patient nursing risks, nutritional assessment, accelerated rehabilitation nursing, pulmonary rehabilitation nursing, and pain management.
